Spinning Craze

I made the mistake of watching youtube videos one day and somehow came across spinning wheels and spinning fibers into yarn ... wow I thought scrapbooking was an expensive hobby ... I am obsessed with this new craft ... I have been hitting fibers shows whenever they come up even driving hours to get there ... bought a spinning wheel and have made tools to process the fiber into roving so I can spin it, which is also expensive because I had to buy a grinder and a drill press ... this is just so far ... more tools to come I'm sure. I also want to make a drum carder and buy a woolee winder for my wheel. I absolutly love doing all of this though and I've joined the Northeast Ohio spinners and weavers guild, which of course makes me feel old ha ha ha. But in a hobby like this you can learn a lot from other people who have been doing it longer. It also gets me out of the house as they have a spin-in every thursday night and a bunch of ladies get together and work on whatever projects they are doing and chat while working. I have been knitting and crocheting for the past year like crazy, which is unusual that I haven't felt the need to switch to another craft in such a long time ... which is why I haven't posted anything on my blog. I am getting further and further behind on Kylie's scrapbooking too ... I really should force myself to do some pages to try to not get too far behind, but of course I'm obsessed and can't.

Valentines for the class

Well Kylie and I have been busy making Valentines for her kindergarten class, 12 boys and 11 girls, I have all 12 boys complete but only 3 of the girls and the card we made for her teacher, I did little packs of candy to go with them just for a little something for the kids ... I got these svg's from myscrapchick.com, they had many to choose from and I was going to make the rest of them but it was easier to just do all the same for the boys and all the same for the girls ... still thinking I might make the rest for the teacher to put up in her classroom but that is probably wishful thinking because I will probably be lucky to finish the other 8 girls before the 14th hee hee.

Sorry I haven't been around much ... the tv season is back in full swing and I've been trying to catch up on all the new shows to see which ones I like and which I don't ... not to mention I heard about mad men and I've been watching all 3 seasons of it, love it ... which new shows do you like? I haven't been in the crafting mood at all lately but my computer got a virus and while I was wiping my hard drive and reloading everything I had hours and hours to kill so I made this card ... I just don't understand why someone doesn't put a stop to these viruses when they know about them and where they come from??? The stamp I used for this is from Paper trey ink and I glued jewels in a few places on it that matched ... I used the cuttlebug folder that matched the swirls of the stamp. I bought this pretty colored dark pink ribbon and I had the hardest time finding some kind of paper to match and make a card, it is a little off but in the same family. This fit in this weeks challenge at Charisma Cardz which is distressing, the white designer paper is torn. The challenge at Stamp Something is bling it, which the jewels fit.

This weeks challenge at Whimsy Stamps is sugar & spice/frogs & snails, either make a girl or boy card, I chose girl of course! Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge is to make a card or project for the woman in your life and to use pink as your main color. Papertake Weekly Challenge is a sketch that I followed to make this card. Copic Buzz Challenge is to color your embellishements as well, I colored the center of all my snowflakes pink, although you can't tell well in the photo except for the silver charm, it was baby blue before. Cute Card Thursday Challenge is to add a charm, the metal silver snowflake is mine. Pollycraft Challenge is 5 S words ... snowflakes, sparkle, spots, stripes & swirls, if you use all 5 which I did you get a bonus free download image! The image is from Mo's Digital, and I've seen her colored as a boy also so this is such a great digi! I glued glitter all over the snow and used stickles for sparkle on the flakes and the bottom of her scarf. I actually used scraps I had for the layout and it wasn't too hard finding the spots, swirls and stripes to match.

Halloween challenges galore!

There are a bunch of challenges this week that are make a card for halloween, I've made this card for the challenges and I don't like how it turned out at all ... but it is what it is right? Copic Creations is having a color pumpkins challenge this week and I bought this cute digi just for this challenge, actually I bought several and decided on this one. Creative Card Crew is make a celebration card and they listed halloween as one of the celebrations so I'm including them also. A Spoon Full of Sugar is make a halloween card. Simon Says Stamp Challenge is make a halloween card. Cuttlebug Challenge is make a halloween or fall card. Die Cut Dreams is make a color combo of black, purple, orange & green following their sketch, which I did. I'm sure there are more challenges out there that I didn't come across since it is October and tis the season for them but this should do hee hee. I used stickles on her headband and for the purple swirls. I found the spider brad at the local craft store and fell in love with them. I cut around the skulls on the designer paper to slide the paper behind so as not to cover them up.

Punkin Patch

The new Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential started this week and their first challenge is to make a halloween card without a halloween image stamp ... so I decided to make pumpkins out of buttons ... I cut out my own stem stamp and stamped them with some leaves around where the buttons would be and used a stampin up stamp for the punkin patch sign and drew around everthing with a black marker ... I like how it turned out ... the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges is stitching and besides the cardstock I used having stitching on it I stitched around the circle I punched for the owl to peak through and around the pumpkins. The challenge at Stampin B's Design Team is to use a pumpkin on your card ... I think these qualify! And lastly the Pile It On Challenge is of course to do more than one challenge and to add something 3-D on your project!

Here's a card I started making for a challenge but didn't get it done on time so I finished it last night and am just gonna submit it for one challenge this time, Die Cut Dreams is to use ribbon and/or trims on your project ... I used a new stitch on this card which didn't turn out perfect but I needed more dark brown so the sentiment and clock didn't stick out so much.

The challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week is "cute as a bug", you have to use a bug on your project, I used many bugs ... Basic Grey's Challenge is embossing, I used basic grey paper for the card and heat embossed all the bugs in a different color ... Stamp Something Challenge is your favorite layout ... Whimsy Stamps Challenge is "the eyes have it", you have to use at least one eyelet on your project, mine is a butterfly eyelet, it is by the bow ... Simon Says Stamps Challenge is stitching, I broke out the sewing machine for this one. I didn't notice that the ribbon was crooked until after I uploaded the picture and since I'm getting sick I didn't feel like retaking it, sorry.

I looked at her shirt and thought they were apples so I picked out some papers with strawberries and one with cherries thinking I'd go with the whole fruit theme, then I saw the slices on her shirt and headband and realized they are oranges, too late because my head was seeing this card already with the papers I picked out, so I decided I'd just make the slices lime slices and I could still do it ... it worked out kinda ... I followed the sketch at Creative Inspirations Challenge and I followed Whiff of Joy Challenge which this week is 6 brads, 3 patterned paper and 2 flowers which I realized would still fit in with this sketch so I did a twofer hee hee.

Kylie just turned 5 and has recently gotten some attitude ... I have to admit that sometimes it's cute ... but mostly not so much! I had to buy this gorjuss girl stamp when I saw it because it makes me think of Kylie everytime I look at it ... this is my first gorjuss girl purchase and I just love her! I followed the sketch this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge ... I actually loved this sketch after I started working it ... it was a lot of fun! I first stamped her in black and got her half colored in before I realized she was sticking out like a sore thumb so I stamped her in a couple different shades of brown ... the one I didn't use Kylie asked if she could have ... she made her very first card with it, matted and everything ... she made it for me can you tell??? ha. Pink is her favorite color. She'll be wanting her own blog soon!

I got some new stamps in the mail and had to color them up right away, I followed the sketch at Mojo Monday Challenge for this one and used the colors I had closest for the Copic Colour Challenge which are V06, B23 and BG23 ... I had V04, B24 and the closest BG I have is BG05 so I colored her with what I have here and she still turned out cute.

I didn't try real hard this week to fit too many challenges into this card hee hee. I did this one in autumn theme to fit in with the Stamp with Fun Challenge, added buttons to fit the Whimsy Stamps Challenge ... added some ink and distressed the cardstock to fit the Cupcake Craft Challenge and finally I decorated the inside of the card to fulfill the requirements for Creative Card Crew Challenge
... I love this sweet little image ... I cut her with my largest oval nestie and it meant cutting off her toes but I thought that was ok, I cut a little larger oval and when I was laying them on the card she looked crooked to me so I turned both ovals opposite each other and it seemed to work and this way you could see the other decorative paper a little more ... I colored her with my copics. I used cardstock that is embossed with leaves and acorns .... wish I could find an embossing folder like this!

Black, Gray and Neon Green!

I have done this card to cover two challenges ... the first is at Copic Buzz Challenge which is to use black and gray ... I think my designer paper takes care of that alone ... I also used gray and black copics to color the witch, she was a free digi given to do the challenge with ... the second is Colour Create Challenge which is neon green and black ... this was fun to try and get the whole thing to be just those two colors, I colored the white cardstock a pale green also even though it still looks white in the photo, she actually has green skin and is shaded which you can really see in person and can see a little if you click on the picture to make it larger ... the only white on the card is the stitches and dots ... this was a fun challenge to do!

My Favorite Things

The challenge over at Stamp Something this week is to use your favorite papers or color combination ... this is not so easy as most of you know to pick a favorite, this is one of mine ... as is this stamp. I put stickles on her headband, bracelet and necklace, although you can only see it on the headband in the picture ... I really enjoyed trying to make her clothes match the cardstock which I couldn't quite get on the shirt but I got it close ... I colored her with my copics in the only colors I had that were close.

Fall card for seven challenges

I'm going for a record here and I don't think I'll ever break it, this is for seven challenges and boy did I luck out finding some that are similar! The first one is Stamp Something Challenge which is to use your favorite embellishment ... I picked flowers because summer is almost over and I won't be using them much until spring again! The second is LaLa Land Crafts Challenge which is at least three different embellishments ... again the flowers, buttons and a brad. The third is Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which is three embellishments, two papers, and one image ... I really wanted to mat everything in orange but I was afraid that would put me at 3 papers! The fourth is Crazy 4 Challenges ... for this I followed the sketch. The fifth is Copic Creations Challenge which is to combine your prismacolor pencils with your copics, which I did and loved this technique and will use it almost everytime now! The sixth is Copic Colour Challenge which is to use YR68, G94 and Y38 ... I used Y38 and YR68 in her shirt and the closest to G94 I have is BG93. The seventh and final challenge is Charisma Cardz Challenge which is flower power and flowers have to be your main focus and I figure with her holding the bouquet and the 3 flower embellishment this fits the bill quite nicely ... phew that was something just writing out this post and linking everything! hee hee.

Fall trio

I actually got this card to cover three challenges ... this months challenge over at Creatalicious is to make a creation with this colour combo pink or plum,with burgundy and green. Also add some sort of lace,ribbon or fibre etc.... I did pink, burgundy and green, and added a variegated fibre that covered my three shades of green I colored in the picture ... the challenge over at Papertake Weekly is "faking it" ... I did faux stitching ... and the last challenge I got this card to cover is over at A Spoon Full of Sugar which is "fall into autumn" and I colored every flower like a fall mum, plus the card is fall-ish colors, sorta ... plus I messed up her skin and now she has a tan like early fall hee hee. I colored her using my copics and the paper is from basic grey ... this card was really fun to make. Hope you enjoy!

Here is my submission for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge which is fall colors ... up for a little interpretation on our parts and mine is of course halloween ... love the fall and halloween both, wish we could enter this one more than once! I colored this image from mo's digital stamps with my copics and heat embossed the buckle on her hat in silver ... she was fun to do!

I made this card last week and have been waiting to find a challenge that I could submit it to ... I finally did yippeee! ha. They are having black white and one other color over at Pollycraft Challenge ... mine is black white and red ... I got this digi free from somewhere? I know I should keep track ... I used my snow dots embossing folder for the red cardstock and colored the snoman with my copics, I didn't have any light blue or cool grays so I had to use my warm grays to color in the white, he looks dirty but aren't all men dirty?

New ribbon rack

Look what I made tonight, it's a rack to hold my growing ribbon supply! I took 4 pieces of board and nailed them together, covered the back with two cardboard boxes that I unfolded, cut to fit and nailed in place. I drilled holes every 5" down the sides for dowels to slide into and covered the ends with little wooden spools that I wound thread around to make them match my room and look like miniature spools of thread, since this is also my sewing room! I spray painted the whole thing black and now I have room to buy more ribbon ... uh oh! Now I have to hang it in the only spot in the room it will fit and cut the dowel rods shorter and post a picture in with my scraproom photos.

Ok, so I changed the ribbon and made the holly bigger and painted it to match, like the bigger holly, not too sure about the ribbon, best match I could find at my store ... I'm thinking I need to get one of the bow perfect thing-a-ma-jiggy things, I thought I could tie a bow, but boy oh boy am I having problems lately with them twisting and stuff, it's aggravating me!

I got two new stamps in the mail today and actually made a card with both, astounding! I did this one with Whiff of Joy's Lizzie, she is just too cute ... I did the challenge at Copic Colour Challenge which is R29, BG05 and Y15, I actually had R29, the lowest number BG I have is 10 and I had to use Y11 as it was also my closest choice, she ended up looking quite like the holidays, so I made her an xmas card and I followed Mercy's sketch #38 this week to complete two more challenges ... did I tell you I had an obsessive behavior problem? hee hee! This is the only ribbon I had that was even close, I will be going to the store tomorrow to get a better color and not so wide! I also think I'm going to have to break out the acrylic paints and make that holly match too! ha.

The fall seems to be when all the mice come in for warmth, I had to get a cat and that takes care of the problem here! I did this for two challenges, Flourish Newsletter has the feel of fall, I followed the sketch to make this card, and I did it in brown and orange, which not only are fall colors, but took care of the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams, which is chocolate and orange ... I had to use the Whiff of Joy stamp that I got in the mail today, because it was the only one I got that I could color in orange and brown ha!

I think it's funny, but I have a warped sense of humor! The outside of the card says don't but me and the inside says I'm having some "ME" time! The challenge for this weeks Stampacular Sunday Challenge is off the wall slap you're knee funny, now I'm quite sure it fits that bill but it's the best I could come up with ... The challenge at Cute Daisy May is Pink & ? ... I chose purple ... This image is a cute daisy may digi ... I colored it with copics and everything was just fine until I added stickles to the bubbles and then I dropped it! I didn't realize that the stickles would make the ink smear ... I didn't want to recolor it so I'm using it anyhooooo! I followed the sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge to make the card ... I used some plastic bubbles and flowers I had in my stash ... so voila 3 challenges in one!

Well, I did pink yesterday hee hee! I did this card for two challenges ... Creative Inspiration Challenge is lilac, purple & gray ... and I followed the sketch from Simon Says Challenge ... I just want those copic markers! The image for this I got from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, I tried to do the oval so the missing thumb wasn't showing but it didn't work ha ... I used some fabric flowers with flower shaped brads, the cardstock is gray.

I found a sketch today that I thought I might try, since I've never made a card using a sketch before ... I kinda liked it! I found Truly Scrumptious Challenge blog and this is their sketch for this week, only I turned it on it's side. I am also entering this into the Charisma Cardz Challenge which is swirls & curls ... I stamped the swirls using Designer Flourishes which I sell on ebay (see link on my sidebar) to create the background paper, I used the same ink to stamp the butterfly which is from Papertrey Ink, then I found a pink paper that has swirls all over it so this fits well into that challenge also... I am also submitting this to the Design Team submissions for Die Cut Dreams ... all you have to do is make a pink card ... I've been meaning to do that one for awhile now as Kylie's absolute favorite color is pink and she keeps getting mad at me for making cards and never making her one, so this one I gave to her ... she'll have it drawn all over and colored in a few minutes tops ... trashed I tell ya, trashed!

Father's Day?

I made this card for my dad on father's day and I forget to give it to him everytime I've seen him since, he is coming over for a cookout today since it's labor day and I got it out so this time I won't forget ... his nickname has been "bear" his whole life so I cut a bear out with my cricut and put this card together real quick. I came across a new challenge blog called creatalicious challenges and the first challenge is to make a man's card with brown on it somewhere and some kind of metal ... so I took a picture of the card so I can join in ... the bear and ribbon are brown and the brads are metal so I'm in like Flynn!

Paisley thank you card

I didn't take a lot of time on this card ... I love this colorful paisley printed paper and I decided to use it for a thank you card I had to put together quick to get in the mail in the morning ... it's after 1:30 am or I might have taken more time and added brads or ribbon or something ... I put a scallop on it so I can enter the Stampacular Sunday Challenge #22 Scallop Mania ... you have to do a card with a scallop somewhere on it and some kind of stamping .. I stamped the thank you ... I ran the dark purplish color through the cuttlebug with the paisley embossing folder ... tada challenge complete ... well off to bed! (I must be tired I orginally posted this without the picture!) Oh and look the card matches my blog hee hee!

When it's cold outside (which it soon will be and is here in Ohio right now) we all dream of summer and can't wait for it to get here ... This is for two challenges ... Copic Creations Challenge #11 ... any color combination, I did blue, green and purple, and also this is my take on the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams challenge #12 ... we had to make a card with "summer" as our theme ... I picked this mo's digi stamp called "end of summer" for my entry into this weeks challenges. I colored her with my new copics which I just adore! If you haven't tried them you should ... or maybe you shouldn't ... they are expensive! Worth it if you'll use them all the time though.

My altered boxes

I wanted to do something different, I have no idea what put this thought into my head but I wanted to cover some boxes with some of my designer paper ... I had some decoupage here for a long time and never used it ... I made a box for my little bottles of acrylic paint and used my cricut to cut out the letters and popped them up with pop dots ...
I had this paper, which I just loved and used it because my craft room was going to be green and purple ... oh how I wish I knew I'd change my mind because now the box doesn't match the room at all. I used sequined ribbon to cover where all the paper lines are and I just loved it when it was finished. I also made this box for my stencils ... it matched the room before I painted it pink ... now it doesn't match either ... go figure! Guess I'll have to break out the decoupage and do a pink box to match the room now that it's finished!

Maple leaf svg free download

Here is a maple leaf that I did, I changed it a little from the picture above so that it would all be one piece .. I cut some out and here is a picture ...
some are just the silhouette of the leaf and the one on top is the one with the veins ... you have to do the one with veins in a 2" or larger size because I tried it smaller, with a brand new blade, and it ripped ... unless you have better luck .. this would also be a good one to draw with your markers or gel pens and then cut out the blackout version of it ... then the veins will be drawn on the leaf for you!

My Fairy Godmother!

I know this isn't a card or scrapbook layout or any kinda paper craft but I just had to show my months work of work ... In real life you can see the gold thread and the beads really well in this piece that I did of this fairy ... I like to think of her as my fairy godmother ... she just has that look ... I bought this pattern like 15 years ago and I think it was like $12.00, which I thought was extremely high ... but I had never seen anything like it before, with the beads on it, and I just had to have it ... then it got put away in a box, I came across it once in awhile but I just never felt like taking the time I knew it would take to make her ... then I got into one of my x-stitch moods and I decided to tackle her, needless to say after a couple of months of it, I had to force myself to finish ... I saved the beads till last because that is the part I couldn't wait to do and I knew that would help me finish ... and it did ... I am very happy with how she turned out ... this is the first time I ever x-stitched on linen also ... in the past there was always a clear hole to put the needle into, counting threads was not so easy especially with my eyes getting bad with age, I had to break out some major magnifying glasses to see! Here is a closer picture so you can see the beads at her neck and swirled around the bottom of her. If you click on the pictures to open them up you can see much more detail.

Pink and Brown scrapbook layout

Here is a pink and brown two page layout I did with a white and a brown tear bear ... I sewed on all the photo mats, and stitched behind cutie with embroidery floss. I dry embossed above too cute for words, if you click on the picture below to enlarge it you can see the white raised embossing. It seemed like I was cutting out flowers forever on the cricut, changing cartridges for different flower shapes so that I could layer each one for some dimension. I just love pink and brown together!

I'm soooo excited ... I just found out that I won the blog candy over at The Queen of Cups ... she had to end it early because she is having surgery on monday ... send her some well wishes ... Kylie was here when I was saying that I won the blog candy ... she went downstairs for a little bit and yelled up at me "guess what mom?" so I'm like "what Kylie?" and she says "I won some blog candy too, down here on dad's computer" so I tell her "congradulations" and she's all "thanks mom I'm so excited too I won just like you" ... oh the imagination of a little girl! Guess I have to share my candy with her!

I decided to use one of my tear bears that I made out of mulberry paper and cut the clothes on my cricut with SCAL. I didn't realize that the card called for more brown until after I glued down the white piece of paper, but a brown mat to tie in more of the brown from the ribbon would have been perfect! I stamped the background and the "thinking of you" as my stamp part, and inside says ... because you're beary special! ... When I was shading the bears pants Kylie (she just turned 5) asked if the bear peed her pants ha ha ha.

Green, Blue & Brown Scrapbook Pages

I did this scrapbook layout in what would typically be "boys" colors, but I found that if I use blue, that it makes Kylie's blue eyes "pop" more in the pictures. I just love brown with blue, green and pink too. I cut out the outfit for this bear with the disney happily ever after cartridge on my cricut and altered it a little. I ran the vellum through my printer to print the title and I used embroidery floss to make the x's across the pages. I sewed on all the photo mats with my machine and left one to be a pocket for the journaling tags.

They are having a red and/or pink with hearts challenge and this is my entry for it ... I just got this stamp in the mail last week from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and I figured it was perfect for my first challenge ... I did a pretty plain card because of the silver on the designer paper and the pink bling brads that I didn't want to distract from the image with anything more. I used R22, R32, R29, RV17, RV02, V12, E04, E00, E33, E25, E37, Y11, Y21, YR24, B00 & C3 copic markers (I don't have too many red's or pink's) to color in the image that I stamped with angel pink memento ink ... then I went over parts with a black marker to outline everything but the girl. I cut the "princess" designer paper (I was saving for a scrapbook page for Kylie oh well) so that the "so girly" and "one of a kind" were the words showing below the image ... because shoes are a girl thing and I am shoe-nique.

Sorry about the flash glare but I was trying to get the silver (to match the outside of the card) embossed "with" to show up shiny ... I need a new camera! Here is the inside of the card ...

Spotted Flower .svg Free Download

This spotted flower is soooo cute I had to use it when I was decorating my slim jim cans ... I took a bunch of these cans and put different papers on them from my stash to match my craft room and put different embellishments on each one ... needless to say I have no desire to eat another slim jim anytime soon ... I put ribbon around the can and put the spotted flower on with a black brad ... here is a picture of the can with this flower on it ... hope you enjoy!

Ladybugs Card

I made this card today, and my fingers are stained red from the ink, couldn't find the exact color red cardstock so I had to ink it. I have better cardstock ordered since this kind I have seems to bleed when I stamp with most inks. Fingers crossed that will stop that from happening. I used one of my new papertreyink stamp sets and the D'vine cuttlebug embossing folder for the red strips across the card. I had no idea it can take so long to make a card ... I didn't make this card big enough for the layout I chose ... I had to scrunch everything in but it still turned out cute ... you live you learn!

Brown and Blue Card

I was actually creating something today ... don't ask what got into me! I stamped this image from a stampin up stamp I have ... don't ask what set, I have no idea ... I colored it with prismacolor pencils and smeared it with gamsol ... then I used stickles on the center and around the edges and since you couldn't see it too well in the picture of the card I am posting one of just the flower ... I punched a scallop circle out of textured brown cardstock and sanded the edges with a nail file and popped these up with pop dots ... I cut a strip of matching blue paper and punched both edges with a scallop border punch and put a piece of brown satin ribbon over it ... I made dash marks to match the papers with blue and white gel pens around the striped paper ... the outside of the card says ... girlfriends ... and on the inside I stamped ... a friend is one who knows all about you and likes you anyway!

Easter Layout

I wish I had taken a class in college on html instead of networking ... all this blog stuff would be so much easier to figure out if I had ... the easter bunny has his own egg mobile that opens and closes with an eyelet attaching the top of the egg, I layered it and popped it up with pop dots and filled it with tiny colored eggs ... I used all glittered paper for this layout and cardstock for the mats and the large egg workshop which opens showing a bunny coloring eggs, the journaling tags are also egg shaped ... I had just learned how to make tear bears and all of those animals with the mulberry paper and was putting them in any and everything I was making ... I'm kinda over them now ... but they are so cute I will continue to make them once in awhile ... especially since I spent so much money ordering the files for the clothes and all that ...

Giraffe Shadow .svg Free Download

I'm going to try and share one of my .svg's with you ... it is an outline of a giraffe, here is the link to download the file ... Raggedy Ann & Andy tear bear 2 page layout

This is a two page layout I did with Cloud 9 Designs paper pack ... love the papers in this pack. I did 4 tear bears and did the two on top of the friends forever title in raggedy ann and andy, hand cut and drew their clothes myself and thought they turned out adorable.

This is from a stamp set from Hanna Stamps ... I colored her with prismacolor pencils and tried to make her look like me ... I stamped another stamp on her t-shirt ... I'll be me and you be you ... and on the inside I stamped ... because you're fabulous! ... and sent it to one of my best friends who is soooo fabulous ... wish I had a stamp that I could have made look like her for the inside too ... but I didn't. I should stop telling her things like that though or she's gonna get too big for her britches! ha!

This card turned out nothing like I had it planned out in my head but my girlfriend that I sent it to said it was the prettiest card she'd ever seen ... so that's ok with me ha. I used a stamp set that I sell from See D's called Sunflower and I colored them in with prismacolor pencils.

I just love this image from Inkadinkado, this set is like where's waldo with a bunch of different things hidden in the main image .. butterfly, ladybug, hummingbird, flower all just gorgeous and I thought a little more of an elegant card was in order for the stamp ... I heat embossed the background flower stamp and used two different ribbons ... the brads along the bottom were called for because that space looked empty ... hope you enjoy!

These are the first two cards I made ... I learned about using Prismacolor pencils and gamsol (odorless paint thinner) so I had to try it ... used my Cuttlebug to emboss the blue background cardstock and layered it with the white and green and the cutest little peacock ... stamped from a hero arts stamp ... thought they turned out cute.

Lazy Days 2 page layout

I did these pages when I first bought SCAL for my Cricut ... just cut from a true type font and made it fit the 12 x 12 page ... loved SCAL from the very first day and I highly recommend it! ... I did these pages so that the photo mats are sewn onto the ribbon and can be lifted up or taken off so you can see the full pictures of the background image that I cut out ... I had to get creative in order to not cover up the background ... thought it was clever!

Coupon Holder

I bought one of those cheap coupon holder with the intentions of recovering it and making it my own ... then I got the idea to send it to my very best cyber friend to surprise her with it ... here is the front ...
and the inside of the coupon holder ... I used one of my stampin' up stamp sets for this little cutie riding the scooter and colored her with colored pencils and I used a metallic colored pencil on the scooter although you probably can't tell in the picture ... of course with most things it looked better in person!

I saw a video on you tube and how to make this book mark and I just had to try it .. it just slides over the corner of a few pages and marks your page .. it is actually quite fun to make and I'm going to make one for all my friends who read! You can make 4 of these out of one 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper! I used my all time favorite paper pack and stamps from close to my heart!

Ok, so recently I just discovered all these blogs out there pertaining to everything under the sun ... mostly I've been surfing the cardmaking/papercrafting ones and you tube ... wow so much information and helpful hints it is mind blogging (not a spelling error ha). I have been buying rubber stamps for years and I don't think I ever used them ... now I started making cards and I am buying more just for this purpose so I am creating a blog so that I can share them like the rest of you have ... Now if I can just figure out how to go from here, setting up the blog was easy but how to do all the rest will take some time ... I'm good with this stuff though ... plus it will give me something else to do with my time ... not that I don't have enough ... but it will fill in the boring, twiddling my thumbs time when I don't feel like crafting or creating svg's or spending money on ebay time ... you know when I'm bored kinda time ... we shall see where this all goes ... as they say time will tell ...
